PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: 24 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how UPLUX, operated by Y.M. DIRECT IMPORT LTD, Company No. 514486372, Hashar 15, Mazor 7316000, Israel, handles personal information through uplux.com. UPLUX supplies horticultural LED lighting and receives product, sales, retailer, reseller, distributor and commercial-project inquiries. The website also includes shopping, account and payment features.

For privacy requests, contact info@uplux.com or Contact UPLUX. You can manage optional website measurement through Cookie Settings.

1. Information we collect

  • Inquiries: the name, email address, company, telephone number, country, inquiry type, product selection, application and message you provide. Required form fields are identified on the form; other fields are optional.
  • Orders and accounts: where you use these features, your account information, selected products, billing and delivery details, order history, payment status and transaction references.
  • Subscriptions and reviews: an email address supplied through a newsletter form, your communication preferences, and review content and display details you choose to submit.
  • Technical information: server and security records, IP address, browser and device information and information needed to operate requested services. Optional analytics measures visits, referral sources, pages and interactions only after your permission.

You are not generally required by law to provide information to browse or inquire. We need the fields marked as required to process the relevant request; without them we may be unable to respond, provide an account or fulfil an order. Do not include payment-card details, passwords or sensitive personal information in inquiry messages.

2. Purposes and legal bases

We use information to respond to inquiries, prepare quotations, discuss distribution and commercial projects, provide requested services, process orders where offered, manage accounts, handle support and returns, prevent abuse and fraud, and meet applicable legal and accounting obligations.

Where EU or UK data-protection law applies, the basis depends on the activity: steps you request before a contract or performance of a contract; compliance with legal obligations; legitimate interests in responding to business communications, maintaining secure services and protecting rights, subject to your rights; and consent for optional tracking and marketing where required. Submitting a commercial inquiry does not grant permission for optional analytics, advertising or unrelated marketing messages.

If you subscribe to marketing communications, you may unsubscribe using the mechanism in the message or contact us. Necessary responses, order updates and service messages may continue.

3. Service providers and recipients

Information is available to authorised personnel and service providers as needed for their work. The website uses WordPress, WooCommerce and Elementor for website, store and form functionality; hosting and technical providers support its operation. Form submissions may be stored in the website and sent to our team by email.

  • PayPal: payment and related fraud-prevention services for payment methods offered through PayPal. PayPal processes payment information under its own privacy notice. We receive information such as payment status and transaction references needed to manage the transaction. See PayPal’s Privacy Statement.
  • Google Analytics 4: consent-based website and inquiry measurement. Our measurement is designed not to send names, email addresses, telephone numbers or message contents to Google Analytics.
  • Google Ads: our Google Analytics property is linked to our Google Ads account. Advertising measurement is subject to the applicable permissions. This link does not mean a campaign or personalised advertising is running.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: helps protect forms from automated abuse and may process technical and interaction information. See Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms.
  • WP Mail SMTP and the configured email-delivery service: support delivery of website messages, including recipient, message and delivery information.
  • Judge.me: supports product reviews and associated reviewer information when review features are used.
  • GTranslate: supports translation and language selection.
  • Search Atlas: supports website search optimisation and technical content management.

We may share relevant information with delivery providers when fulfilling an order, professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or parties involved in protecting rights or a business transfer, subject to applicable law. External services and links have their own privacy practices.

Cookies and similar storage can remember website state and choices. Optional permissions start off. You can select Accept All, Reject Optional or Customize. Closing the notice or continuing to browse does not grant optional permission. Rejecting optional tracking does not prevent ordinary business inquiries.

  • Strictly necessary: website and security functions, requested shopping/account services and your consent record. The consent record uplux_consent_v1 is stored in this browser’s local storage with a matching cookie, a timestamp and policy version, for up to 180 days. It is separate from other group websites. Deleting site data or a material change to the purposes may require a new choice.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics measures visits and accepted inquiry submissions when you enable it. Its _ga and _ga_* cookies distinguish browsers and sessions. This implementation configures a maximum cookie lifetime of 180 days; browsers may impose shorter periods.
  • Marketing: controls permission for optional advertising storage, advertising user data and personalisation signals. Permission does not itself start a campaign or create a cross-site audience. We do not enable remarketing through this implementation.
  • Requested services: payment, fraud prevention, authentication, language and security features may use their own cookies or similar technologies where needed for the requested function. Their precise storage and duration depend on the feature used and provider settings.

Use Cookie Settings, also available in the footer, to change or withdraw optional permission. Withdrawal stops the corresponding measurement through this mechanism and removes accessible related first-party analytics cookies where technically possible. Information already sent is not automatically erased; contact us about applicable deletion rights. Your browser can also clear or block site data, which may affect shopping, sign-in or form functions.

5. International processing

UPLUX operates from Israel and serves international visitors. Providers may process information outside your country, where legal protections may differ. Transfers subject to EU or UK law require an applicable lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the recipient and safeguards relevant to your information; this policy does not assert that every provider processes data in Israel.

6. Security and retention

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect information. No system or internet transmission is completely secure. We retain information according to its purpose, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business relationships and accounts, fulfilling orders, resolving disputes and satisfying legal obligations. The period varies by record and circumstances; there is no single retention period for all information.

7. Your rights

Depending on the law applicable to you, you may request access or correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing, without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Israeli law provides rights of access and correction subject to its conditions. Where EU or UK law applies, you may also complain to your competent data-protection authority. Applicable rights may be subject to exceptions, including records we must retain.

Send requests to info@uplux.com. We may need proportionate verification before disclosing or changing personal information. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed and how to provide them safely.

8. Children and policy changes

This professional lighting website is not directed at children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so we can assess and address it. We may update this notice when services or practices change, update the date above, and obtain renewed consent when required.
